If your SPSS (for Windows or Mac) cannot save a dta format of data for your Stata: 1. Go to IBM 2. Look for "fix central" 3. Register and wait about 20 minutes 4. Download zip files to fix your SPSS (about 420 MB) 5. Install the fix files 6. You should be able to save your sav file as dta file.
